The Albany County Coroner's Office is dedicated to ensuring the citizens of Albany County that cause of death investigations are carried out in an unbiased and compassionate manner, while maintaining the highest level professionalism for the loved ones of the deceased during their time of grief.    

The Coroner investigates deaths due to:

  •  Violent or Criminal action
  •  Apparent suicide
  •  Accident
  •  Apparent drug or chemical overdose or toxicity
  •  Apparent child abuse causes
  •  Unknown cause(s)
